Weldable Coupler

Weldable Coupler

Description

Weldable coupler is a type of rebar coupler which designed specifically to connect reinforcing bars perpendicular to the structural steel structures or plates via welding joints. Predominantly, weldable coupler set is mainly used as a cast-in accessory for precast parapet, tub girder, box girder etc. which provides ease of installation for sound barrier and railing. Commonly this is found within the precast parapet along expressway or viaduct for public transport bridges (LRT & MRT) which passes through populated area.

We are capable of supplying weldable coupler which accordance to BS8110 testing requirements. To comply with the requirements of TA1-B using BS4449 Grade B500B and B500C reinforcement, the tensile strength required for the corresponding weldable coupler are 540MPa and 575MPa respectively. Besides a permanent set of ≤ 0.10mm @ 0.65fy in tension and optional compression to achieve BS8110 standard while both tension and compression for Eurocode 2 (EC2) standard.

ICS weldable coupler uses parallel threading system which ensures ease of installation and no weak point throughout the structure, especially the splicing area. Parallel threads are far superior compared to previous technology utilising tapered threading system.
